A worked-out sandstone quarry on the Galiano shore, flat and open to the strait.
The venue
The quarry stopped working in 1931 and the sandstone benches have been weathering ever since. The result is a wide flat shelf a few metres above the tideline, open west across the strait, with nothing between the ceremony and the water.
There are no buildings. Everything comes in and goes out the same day, which suits couples who wanted the setting more than the amenities.
